Arno Carstens has been a defining force in South Africa's contemporary cultural landscape for over three decades, bridging the worlds of music, fine art, and writing.

He first rose to prominence in the mid-1990s as the charismatic frontman of Springbok Nude Girls. Renowned for their raw energy, explosive live shows, and fearless fusion of rock, punk, and alternative sounds, the band played a pivotal role in shaping the South African alternative rock scene, establishing a sound that continues to resonate decades later.

As a solo artist and songwriter, Arno has released eight albums. His multiplatinum 2003 debut, Another Universe, earned a SAMA for Best Rock Album; its title track remains one of the most enduring and beloved songs in South African music history.
