Black Heidi is a South African singer songwriter blending indie rock, pop grunge, soft punk, and alternative sounds into something entirely her own. 

Born in Mafikeng and now based in Pretoria, Black Heidi, real name Dimpho Dorothy Mahoko, first began writing songs at the age of ten before stepping onto stages in 2020 with a ukulele, a sharp pen, and an unmistakable presence. Since then, she has built a reputation for vibrant live performances, fearless honesty, and music that feels both chaotic and deeply human.

With the release of her latest album Sunshine’s Bright Shiny Beam and standout tracks like Blame Yo Mama, Black Heidi continues to carve out a space that is loud, colourful, emotionally raw, and impossible to ignore.
