Rejecting conventional norms, the trio embarked on a musical journey aimed at defying expectations. Their self-proclaimed genre of "monkipunk" captivated audiences, earning them accolades such as the South African Music Award (SAMA) for 'Best Pop Album' in 2002. Despite an unconventional lineup devoid of guitars, BOO! soared to the top of the charts with hits like "Stagefright" and "OOAA," showcasing frontman Chris Chameleon's exceptional songwriting prowess.
